VRX eSports partner with Pete Shepherd III on SIM Racing League and NASCAR Pinty’s Series
TORONTO, ONT – 12 JUNE, 2018 – Today VRX Simulators, creator of the World’s most advanced racing and flight simulators and machine driven immersive experiences, and Pete Shepherd III, a leader in Canadian and North American Motorsports announce a partnership to further develop VRX’s SIM racing program in Canada through key partners like NAGRA and the myCinema ecosystem. This community centers eSports program extends VRX’s growing SIM and racing platform presence supporting eSport and Motorsport market convergence and growth. This partnership will amplify VRX’s eSports program, especially the driver development connections, as well as SIM racing exhibition. Over the season we will bring this joint effort to the racing and on-line gaming communities across Canada. Our first joint effort will be in the NASCAR Pinty’s Series, June 16th at Canada’s “Crown Jewel” Jukasa Motor Speedway with Pete Shepherd III behind the wheel driving the #79 Jacombs Racing Ford.

About Pete Shepherd III
Pete started driving Go-Karts at the age of 10 and had success in Karting right away, winning Regional and Canadian Championships from 1997 1999. Pete began driving Stock Cars at the age of 13 and racked up 29 wins, the most that season at Flamboro Speedway. In 2004 Shepherd won the CASCAR Super Series “Rookie of the Year” award at the age of 16. He was then signed by Roush Fenway Racing after finishing in the Top 4 on the Reality Show Discovery Channel’s Roush Racing Driver X, and competed in 7 NASCAR Camping Truck Series Races, 10 ARCA Racing Series races, and even 7 USAC Silver Crown races mentored and owned by Carl Edwards spanning from 2006-2008. In 2010 Pete drove for his own team Pete Shepherd Motorsports in the NASCAR Pinty’s Series. He was able to rack up 13 top 5’s and 5 wins between 2010 and 2013 making only 18 starts, the highest winning percentage in series history.
