VRX eSports partner with Pete Shepherd III on SIM Racing League and NASCAR Pinty’s Series
TORONTO, ONT – 12 JUNE, 2018 – Today VRX Simulators, creator of the World’s most advanced racing and flight simulators and machine driven immersive experiences, and Pete Shepherd III, a leader in Canadian and North American Motorsports announce a partnership to further develop VRX’s SIM racing program in Canada through key partners like NAGRA and the myCinema ecosystem. This community centers eSports program extends VRX’s growing SIM and racing platform presence supporting eSport and Motorsport market convergence and growth. This partnership will amplify VRX’s eSports program, especially the driver development connections, as well as SIM racing exhibition. Over the season we will bring this joint effort to the racing and on-line gaming communities across Canada. Our first joint effort will be in the NASCAR Pinty’s Series, June 16th at Canada’s “Crown Jewel” Jukasa Motor Speedway with Pete Shepherd III behind the wheel driving the #79 Jacombs Racing Ford.
“As gaming’s transformation to competitive eSports continues to gain momentum, it is timely for this partnership and for the further connection and reach into the motorsports market. Gaming and eSports viewership has already surpassed many professional sports on a viewer-by-event basis and major brands. Sponsors and leagues are waking up to new realities and opportunities to reach new audiences, now including the big screen and family entertainment centers,” said Robert Stanners, CEO of VRX. “While the eSports market is typically disconnected from real sports engagement, the VRX award-winning engineering, technology and racing platform connects humans and machines in immersive entertainment to neighborhoods and communities across Canada, North America and to audiences worldwide.”
A differentiating factor is that the platform is provided ‘As A Service’, so that the technology can be deployed through partners meeting demands for quality, reliability and scale for the SIM league & stakeholders. Sponsors and brands, desperate for engagement with the exploding eSports audience demographic, now have a solid business model to invest in and through which to reach audience, influencers and participants.
“VRX world class engineering, comprehensive platform and tier one support are central to supporting driver development and racing through simulated, connected experience,” said Pete Shepherd III, NASCAR Pinty’s Series Driver. “As demand in the market continues, the VRX platform ideally positions us to leverage the same platform for driver development and entertainment while adding value & reach for our sponsors and the series in which we participate. VRX eSports are aggregating disparate eSports and SIM racing elements into an organized, entertainment-focused platform. Additionally, VRX, through partnerships like NAGRA myCinema, will leverage a world class data driven fandom platform for ranking and loyalty systems reaching and organizing drivers participating in this unique eSports experience.”
“We are normalizing and standardizing SIM racing, SIMsports & eSports in an end to end, interactive and immersive experience through a system where humans, machines and gaming intersect with experience and business systems. Scoring, ranking, data standards and control are central services to the platform and will reinforce better organization and regulation for our segment of the eSports industry where there are typically no central authority or standards yet established,” says Robert Stanners, CEO of VRX. “The end to end platform provides the tools, and commercial systems critical to running this business on a global basis. Attracting & maintaining audience and ROI is inherent so we can focus on bringing structure and organization to our partners, investors and participants. We will establish better control of driver, team and league data, allowing us to provide real-time metrics and also focus on quality and reliability as the global league rolls out. We will deliver ROI and feedback capabilities to all eRacing stakeholders through a comprehensive stack of business and management systems, not currently typical in the eSports or Motorsports markets.”
VRX is bringing new opportunities to Sponsors, players, drivers, manufacturers and brands throughout the on-line gaming value chain. Stay tuned for more news from VRX eSports this summer at E3 and elsewhere, where we will continue to demonstrate our progress where eSports meets Motorsports through unique, immersive experiences.
