As part of the Gran Turismo Sport Canadian Championship Series, the ultimate sim-racing spectacle will take place, as drivers battle it out for the title of Canada’s Next Greatest Driver.

Drivers will be competing for a prize pool of nearly $60,000, which includes a cash pool of $25,000, and the opportunity to take an all-expenses paid trip to the Grand Prix of Long Beach in California.

As part of a joint effort between Cineplex, WorldGaming, PFAFF, and Sony PlayStation, the Gran Turismo Sport championship series is WorldGaming’s first national racing tournament and hopes to deliver the excitement of esports and simulator racing to fans from around the world.

“After just coming off a successful Daytona 500 with Jeffrey Earnhardt, which is one of the highest profile races in North America, VRX is incredibly excited to support our country’s best sim racers,” says Robert Stanners, CEO of VRX Simulators and primary sponsor of Jeffrey Earnhardt in Monster Energy’s NASCAR Series.

“The importance of simulation in driver development is getting stronger every day, and we want nothing more than to see both sports get better and more exciting. Our passion is motorsports and technology and we’re very grateful to play a big part in that.”
